Jing Feng came to NZ from Tianjin China as an international student in 2002. Initially Jing studied nursing at the Auckland University of Technology. She completed her post-graduate diploma at the University of Auckland.
After graduation, Jing immediately began working in the Ear Nose and Throat field, and has continued to specialise in this area ever since. Jing’s experience has covered both the public and private sectors.
In the public sector Jing has worked in an ENT ward, and also in an Intensive Care Unit. In 2015, Jing was provided the opportunity of further specialising her skills when she was trained by an experienced ear nurse specialist, in aural toilet (ear cleaning). Once she was employed in the ENT Department at the Greenlane Clinic Centre, she continued to advance her skills with ENT specialists teaching her how to treat simple ear infections and to maintain mastoid cavities.
As a nurse who is constantly striving to achieve more for herself, and deliver more to her patients, Jing carried out further studies. In 2019 she gained the qualification of Designated RN Prescriber, at the University of Auckland. This means that Jing is able to prescribe medications to treat ear diseases.
Jing is continuing to study at the University of Auckland and is in the process of further study that will gain her a Master’s Degree.
Outside of work, Jing has a lovely family with two primary school aged children. She enjoys spending time with them, both at home, and having outings together. She loves the outdoors, swimming and traveling. Sometimes she indulges in some down-time listening to music, or watching movies.
Jing Feng is a native speaker of Mandarin, and is a qualified Mandarin/English interpreter.
