Here is my handy tutorial on how to change a wax filter on a behind the ear hearing instrument. The main steps for fault-finding a hearing instrument that isn’t working are:
- Replace the battery with a new one (if it takes batteries that is!)
- Take off the dome
- Replace the wax filter
- If that doesn’t get your hearing aid working again, come and see me. It might be the receiver wire, wax in your ear canal, or a change in your hearing
