Since our recent newsletter we have had further communication from the Ministry of Health confirming that they consider us to be a non-essential service. They have, however, clarified some things that we have been allowed to do:
- Respond to your queries
- Ship consumable items to you (eg batteries, wax filters or domes)
- Carry out essential repairs to your hearing aids
- Replace lost or damaged devices
For obvious reasons, we are not able to see you face to face. We will be using the phone or email to respond to your queries.
You may need to send us a picture of your hearing aid in the case of a problem, to help us identify whether it is something we can help with from our homes (where we have a supply of many items, just for this purpose), or whether it will need to be sent to the manufacturer.
And please don’t worry about how you’d get your broken hearing aid to us – we have courier bags here so we can send these to you so that you can get the hearing aids to the right place.
If you need to replace your hearing aid/s we have your current hearing aid setting available, so can programme a new aid to your current settings.
So, all in all, good news!
If you feel that you have had a sudden change in your hearing, unfortunately, we cannot see you. In this case you need to see your GP.
